Hotel Pick-up for Balloon Ride
Start your day early with a pre-dawn pick-up from your hotel. We’ll transfer you to the hot air balloon launch site, where you’ll watch as the giant balloon inflates before boarding your basket.
Hot Air Balloon Flight
As the balloon lifts off into the morning sky, you’ll be treated to a breathtaking view of Luxor’s West Bank. The sun rises over the desert, casting a golden glow on the temples and tombs below. Float silently above the Valley of the Kings, with panoramic views of the Nile, the desert, and the distant mountains. The flight lasts about 45 minutes to an hour, and it’s an experience you’ll never forget.
Return to Earth and Breakfast
Once you’ve touched down, enjoy a light breakfast and coffee while sharing stories of the incredible aerial views. Afterward, you’ll be driven to the first stop of your West Bank tour.
Valley of the Kings
Arrive at the legendary Valley of the Kings, where you’ll explore the ancient tombs of pharaohs. Descend into the ornately decorated burial chambers, where walls are covered with colorful hieroglyphs that depict the journey to the afterlife. Your guide will lead you through the history of these sacred tombs, including the famous resting place of King Tutankhamun (entry optional).
Temple of Hatshepsut
Next, visit the Temple of Hatshepsut, an architectural marvel nestled into the cliffs of Deir el-Bahari. As you explore the terraces and sanctuaries, your guide will reveal the life and legacy of Queen Hatshepsut, one of Egypt’s most powerful and enigmatic rulers.
Medinet Habu Temple
Continue your West Bank adventure with a visit to Medinet Habu, the mortuary temple of Ramses III. Known for its well-preserved reliefs and detailed depictions of the pharaoh’s military victories, this temple is often overlooked but is one of Luxor’s most impressive monuments.
Colossi of Memnon
End your tour with a stop at the Colossi of Memnon, two massive stone statues that have stood guard over the desert for millennia. These imposing figures are all that remain of Amenhotep III’s grand mortuary temple, and they offer a fitting conclusion to your West Bank exploration.
Return to Hotel
After an exciting day filled with aerial views and ancient wonders, we’ll return you to your hotel. You’ll be left with memories of a sunrise over Luxor and the incredible history that lies beneath its sands.
