Day 01
Arrival in Cairo
Arrival & Hotel Transfer
Upon arrival in Cairo, our representative will greet you and transfer you to your hotel. The rest of the day is free for you to relax or explore the vibrant city. In the evening, enjoy a welcome dinner at a local restaurant, introducing you to Egypt's flavors and hospitality.
Day 2
Pyramids of Giza, Sphinx & Saqqara
Visit the Pyramids of Giza
After breakfast, embark on a full-day tour to the Pyramids of Giza, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Explore the iconic Great Pyramid of Khufu, the Pyramid of Khafre, and the Pyramid of Menkaure, as your Egyptologist guide explains the history and architectural marvels behind these ancient structures.
Sphinx & Saqqara
Visit the nearby Great Sphinx, a mysterious monument that has guarded the pyramids for over 4,500 years. Afterward, travel to Saqqara, home to the Step Pyramid of Djoser, the oldest stone structure in Egypt and a precursor to the pyramids of Giza. Learn about the development of pyramid construction and the innovations of ancient Egyptian architects.
Day 3
Cairo – Egyptian Museum & Old Cairo
Egyptian Museum
Spend the morning exploring the famous Egyptian Museum, home to the world’s largest collection of ancient Egyptian artifacts. Admire treasures from King Tutankhamun’s tomb, including his famous golden mask, as well as statues, sarcophagi, and everyday items from ancient Egypt.
Old Cairo & Khan El Khalili Bazaar
In the afternoon, head to Old Cairo to visit the Hanging Church, the Coptic Museum, and the Ben Ezra Synagogue, key sites of Egypt’s rich Christian and Jewish heritage. End the day with a stroll through the bustling Khan El Khalili Bazaar, where you can shop for spices, jewelry, and traditional handicrafts.
Day 4
Fly to Luxor & East Bank Temples
Flight to Luxor & Karnak Temple
In the morning, fly to Luxor, Egypt’s “open-air museum,” home to some of the country’s most famous temples and tombs. Start with a visit to the sprawling Karnak Temple, the largest temple complex in Egypt. Walk through the grand Hypostyle Hall, with its towering columns and intricate carvings.
Luxor Temple
In the late afternoon, visit the nearby Luxor Temple, beautifully illuminated at night. Built by Amenhotep III and expanded by Ramses II, Luxor Temple is dedicated to the rejuvenation of kingship and is a must-see after dark.
Embark on Nile Cruise
After visiting Luxor Temple, board your 5-star Nile cruise ship. Enjoy dinner on board as you set sail along the Nile River, experiencing Egypt from a unique perspective.
Day 5
Valley of the Kings & Hatshepsut Temple
Valley of the Kings
Begin your day with a visit to the legendary Valley of the Kings, the final resting place of Egypt’s pharaohs, including King Tutankhamun. Descend into some of the most elaborately decorated tombs, where vibrant hieroglyphics and paintings depict the journey to the afterlife.
Temple of Hatshepsut
Continue to the Temple of Hatshepsut, an elegant terraced structure dedicated to one of Egypt’s few female pharaohs. Marvel at the temple’s impressive architecture, built into the cliffs of Deir el-Bahari.
Colossi of Memnon
On your way back to the cruise, stop at the towering Colossi of Memnon, two massive statues that once guarded the mortuary temple of Amenhotep III.
Day 6
Edfu & Kom Ombo Temples
Edfu Temple
Sail toward Edfu, home to the well-preserved Temple of Horus, the falcon-headed god. This temple is one of the best-preserved in Egypt and offers a glimpse into the grandeur of ancient Egyptian religious life.
Kom Ombo Temple
Continue to Kom Ombo, where you’ll visit the unique Temple of Sobek and Haroeris, dedicated to the crocodile god Sobek and the falcon god Haroeris. The temple’s dual design reflects the dual nature of the gods and provides fascinating insights into Egyptian mythology.
Day 7
Aswan – Philae Temple & Departure
Philae Temple
Disembark in Aswan and visit the beautiful Philae Temple, dedicated to the goddess Isis. Set on an island in the Nile, Philae is famous for its stunning reliefs and peaceful surroundings. Learn about the temple’s relocation due to the construction of the Aswan High Dam.
Transfer to Aswan Airport
After visiting Philae, you’ll be transferred to Aswan Airport for your departure, marking the end of your 7-day Classic Egypt adventure.
